Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Italian Football Hub ("we", "us", "our") operates italianfootballhub.com (the "Service"). We are an independent fan project and are not affiliated with the FIGC, Lega Serie A, Lega Serie B, Coppa Italia, the Italian Super Cup, or any football club, player, or league official.

2. Personal data we collect
We deliberately keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service. We do not require accounts, do not show advertising, and do not run analytics of any kind.
- Server access logs. Our hosting provider automatically records the IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp of every request, as is standard for any website. These logs are kept by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes (typically 30 days) and are not used by us for tracking.
- Local UI preferences. When you switch leagues,
seasons, or rounds, your selection is saved in your browser's
sessionStorage, a temporary storage scoped to the current tab. This data never leaves your device and is erased automatically when you close the tab. We consider it strictly necessary under the ePrivacy Directive and do not request consent for it. - We do not set cookies of our own. We do not use any analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, A/B testing, heatmaps, session replay, or behavioral profiling service.
3. Third-party content embedded in the Service
- Sportmonks is our football data provider. Our backend (PHP) proxies their API server-to-server; your browser never contacts Sportmonks directly.
- YouTube highlights are embedded using YouTube's
privacy-enhanced mode (
youtube-nocookie.com). Until you click play on a video, YouTube does not set tracking cookies. Once you play a video, the YouTube Player operates under Google's Privacy Policy. - Sportmonks CDN (
cdn.sportmonks.com) serves club and league badges directly to your browser. As with any image request, the CDN sees your IP address. - Fonts are self-hosted. We do not load anything from Google Fonts.
4. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at the email above and we will promptly delete it.
5. Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Know what personal data we process about you,
- Request access, rectification, or erasure,
- Object to processing or restrict it,
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
The legal basis for processing access logs is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating and securing the Service.
If you are a California resident
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect (see Section 2),
- Request deletion of personal information we hold about you,
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information,
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of the above.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use any service that would qualify as "sharing" under the CPRA.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@italianfootballhub.com. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Data retention
- Server access logs are retained by our hosting provider per their standard policy (typically 30 days).
- We do not maintain any database of personal user data. Football statistics stored in our database are public-record sports data and contain no personal information about visitors.
7. International transfers
Our servers are operated by a hosting provider with infrastructure in the European Union. If you access the Service from outside the EU/EEA, your request necessarily transits international networks. Since we collect no account or contact information, no personal data transfer of yours takes place by virtue of using the Service.
8. Security
The Service is served exclusively over HTTPS with HSTS enabled. We apply standard security headers and minimum-privilege access controls to the backend. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in the website footer for at least 30 days.
